Full name of Character: Kanna I. Reiyuu

Reason, meaning or purpose behind the name: I guess the reason behind this name was because I, for one, really liked the sound of the name Kanna. xD However, I also chose the name because, Kanna means "letters" or "writing" (hence one of the Japanese writing styles, Kanna). The Indian version of the name, although masculine, is translated to "black, dark, dark blue." The masculine Japanese form of Kanna means "powerful."

For her middle name, Ikaros, I chose it mainly because I was really into mythology at the time. Ikaros is the punned name I substituted for Icarus, the son of Daedalus, and the one with the wings from wax and feathers. Moreso, this name was chosen because, if you haven't realized, Kanna's pretty weak. She usually doesn't follow around orders that come from others, and it usually leads to her downfall. Not to mention she relies on others sometimes as well. Ikaros also means uncertain, going on her indecisiveness.

Reiyuu is a combination of Reika and Yuuki. Reika is already a combination name and it means lovely petal. Rei would be lovely or companion while ka is splendor, flower, or petal. It could also be a bow or ceremony, small bell, excellent, beautiful, good, or aroma. Rei would refer to her companionship to her Pokemon, her sister, and the Kanto Gange later on. She's a very loyal friend and doesn't hesitate to protect them, despite her weaknesses; she often tries to do good and uses excellent strategies. Yuuki refers to a tender hope, gentleness, superiority, and precious help. Considering her weak stature, she often needs help. However, she acts in a more superior manner and gives out an arrogant nature. Despite this, Yuuki deprives from yuu, meaning distant, leisurely, etc. If you notice, she's pretty distant overall because of her mother's death.

Her name overall means daughter of a designer writing a precious companionship. Or, how I'm making it anyway. cx

Personality: Kanna always has a mature nature, having a way of thinking situations in with a certain bitterness with the fact that she shows little interest, making her seem a bit "tsundere." However, she proves to be a sweet girl, but can have mood swings that make her aggressive and undecided about who she wants to involve in a battle. In combat, she has an intelligent mind and has a knack for forming tactics and solutions to clashes.
