| "Well, ya'know Sunn, it is a shiny fucking fish." Brendan replied, mocking her words over the Magikarp. "Of course it's a Magikarp, but hey-- I want that Legendary item. Oh, by the way, have you got any Water types on your team yet?" The red-head replied, blinking calmly. | |

| Blaire stared up at the stage, an eyebrow raised at the very unprofessional video footage that had been shot showing upon the big screen. She already knew that it was a golden Magikarp, so she didn't really need Mister Nolin to tell her such. Shinies were a rather interesting topic, though. Blaire's father had once told her that her uncle had a job involving shiny Pokémon, though he grew rather sour when talking about it and wouldn't explain to her just exactly what her uncle did with said shinies, and so she had never pressed him about the subject. Still, the main thing wasn't the shininess, but the shiny Pokémon itself: a Magikarp. The young student was unable to suppress a shudder that ran up and down her spine and very nearly chilled her to the bone. If the challenge was to capture a Magikarp, that would mean that she would have to go into the... water. No. No no no no no. Her shaking must've garnered the attention of her Growlithe, for Shiloh looked up and gave her a worried look. Slowly setting him down with shaking hands, she tried to keep her voice steady as she spoke to him, quickly grabbing her bags. "We don't have time for a fool's errand, Shiloh. Come on, let's go find our room." She was off faster than Shiloh could react, the fiery pup giving off a surprised bark before he rushed after his trainer, leaving Dakota and the crowd far behind.
Once she had gotten away from the dispersing crowd, she decided to figure out where she would be staying, Shiloh finally catching up and sitting by her feet. "Okay, now I saw someone with a slip of paper. Did I get one of those?" Someone she had briskly walked past had a piece of paper out and had been staring at it in concentration, so she assumed that it must be concerning the dorms that lady had been talking about. Fishing in her pockets, she came up with her phone, and... there it was. A slip of paper with the words Room 104 scrawled across it. "Alright, awesome! ... I don't know where this is." Sighing, she looked around her, suddenly feeling very lost. Well, she would just have to start asking people where she needed to go.

| OOC: Excuse this, but does this mean we can make topics in the dorms now?
IC:
Ivory watched as she headed towards her dorm, wondering how they looked, and who she would share it with. Watching a girl pass her, then slowed down to see the girl she saw earlier, who just happened to be Anceril. "I-uh, Hi. I just wanted to a- er uh, see... Do you like berries and all that stuff too? I would hope I could get to know you a bit, and hopefully learn from each other?" She asked. Ivory bit her lip as she seemed a little bothered, but she was trying to make some friends. Following the crowd with her suitcase, she tried to keep pace with her, hoping for a reply that wouldn't hurt her feelings, or hope she wouldn't get her head bitten off.

| OOC: After this post, you can make topics anywhere.
"Now, together, me and Mr. Nolin will cut the ribbon so that you students can enter your new dorms. Don't stampede each other like a bunch of Tauros!" Fiona said with a fake laughter, one that made the joke funnier than it really was. The reporter walked over to the ribbon along with the president of the school, and after a few pictures with them holding a comically large pair of scissors over the ribbon on both sides of the stage, they each took a separate pair of the utensil and cut the ribbon on both sides. Immediately, crowds of students eagerly pushed through, ignoring the stampede rule. Marina almost got swept under the crowd, and with Lucy grasping to her neck, ran along with her bag rolling behind her. Thank God for wheels; it was large and heavy!

| Lev took off with the crowd, more being pushed than actually under her own power. She wanted to stop and look, but no one else wanted to let her do so. She felt Low's claws dig into her head as she hung on to her trainer. At least she wouldn't loose her pokemon in the crowd. ~~~~~ Kel took his time moving with the crowd. At the back, he knew that he had no chance of getting to his dorm any time soon. | |

| "I guess you're right." The brown-haired trainer said. She pulled out the piece of paper handed to her by the woman and looked at what was written on it. Floor 1, room 102. "No, I haven't managed to catch anything at all, lately. Those Pokemon are just too damn slippery." She was on fire with her bad jokes today! Ninetales gave a snort and nudged Sunny with her head. "So what room number have you got?" | |

| Cyth raised an eyebrow. God damnit, it's a fish. Of course it's a fucking fish. It was stupid of her to specialize in Fire types- oh well. She'd just go catch a fish and then teach it Surf. Eyeing her paper, she headed off to her doorm-- 102 (Right?) and started unpacking her things. | |

| A loud growl came from Taima at she listened to the challenge. "Lux..." she muttered as her fur started to stand on edge, her electric energy sparking from her fur. No, no, no, no, no! If Taima wanted to get her paws wet by catching a fish, then it was only to feed herself! She wanted a real challenge! She wanted to fight. Her eyes narrowed as her fur started to glow, clearly ready to throw a move somewhere. She was going to show that she vetoed this challenge.
However, before she could use Thunder, a torrent of water nailed her, causing her to jump in surprise and lose her focus on her move. She spun around to find Aria standing next to Troy the Swampert, who was grinning as he closed his mouth from just using Hydro Cannon. "Now, Taima, do you want to get kicked out already? We'll find somebody to fight later, but it does seem like an interesting challenge even if it isn't in your interest. Now come on, we have to head to our dorm." She started to fish around her pockets and pulled out a small slip, reading it. "102, eh? Hopefully somebody I know will be in there. I would hate to be in a dorm with nobody I know..." She shrugged as she placed the piece of paper back and motioned at her team. "Come on, guys, let us get going."
Bahamut let out a small whine, having been put on the ground when Aria had started to notice Taima about to use Thunder, but he followed his trainer. Lamya sighed when she saw how pitiful Bahamut looked, and picked up the small Deino as she walked next to him. She paused to fish around her trainer's backpack, something she had gotten good at to do even if they were both walking, and brought out an apple and gave it to Bahamut who happily accepted it, using his front paws to hold it as he started to quickly eat it. The Zoroark sighed and gently placed the Deino on her large mane, so her arms would be free as they walked toward the dorms. Bahamut didn't mind thought, and happily snuggled into the mane as he ate his apple.

Daniel frowned at the challenge, sighing a bit. He was hoping it was battling, or maybe having to deal with contests; he preferred those after all but at least he had Matthew; as a Vaporeon, he was sure that his starter would be helpful if he ended up taking part in the challenge. His other Pokemon looked a bit disappointed also, as Levi was frowning and crossing his arms, clearly not happy about the water part. His Aron's gaze was cold and hard to read, but he felt that Logan also shared the water aspect of the challenge. Ella, his Flaaffy, was eating an apple she had stolen from Daniel's bag and didn't show any disappointment in the challenge being water based. Kerra was her normal happy self, as she floated around Daniels head with her normal smile on her face. "Mis~" she hummed before coming to a stop and looking at Daniel and Habiki, clearly wondering what they were going to do next.
"Dorms! Dorms!" Habiki chirped with a flap of his wings as he watched trainers past them, giving Daniel a glance. "Enter your new dorms," the Chatot said, clearly echoing what Fiona had said.
Daniel gave his Chatot a smile as he started to dig though his pockets. "Right. First to find out where we are staying..." Finally he found the paper and read it, nodding a bit. "202...Which means it is on the second floor, right?" He said, before placing it back in his pocket. "Sweet, hope we get a cool view from there. Come on gang!"
Habiki smiled as he stayed on Daniel's shoulder as they started to move, his tail moving back and forth in a rhythm. "Come on!"

| Pulling out his own slip, he ignored her awful water pun, yet regarded she was still Water Type-less. "Floor 2, Room 201." He read verbatim from the slip of paper. "Also, sorry you haven't caught anything yet. 'Course, we're on an island, so that should help with that." Brendan added with an airy laugh, then sighed and pulled out a Pokeball. "Alright, Bo, you're huge. Come on back, I'll see if you can come out back at the dorm." The red-head said, watching as the Houndoom was retrieved back into the Pokeball. "Well, Sunn, I'm going to go off and find my dorm! See ya' later!" The Dark trainer called, jogging off and waving over his shoulder. Corick ran alongside his trainer, barking back at the Ninetales. | |

| Dakota's confident smirk quickly turned into a displeased frown. A fucking scavenger hunt to add to some rich man's collection? I thought this was a Battle Academy. Yet, the principal was already setting the school off to chase after possibly a dubious fish, for no apparent reason. Was this supposed to help them? She already knew the answer. Of course not. This clown of a Headmaster obviously just wanted some damn sparkly rarity to keep in a bowl and was too lazy to get it himself.
A shiny was a special thing, sure, but a shiny Magikarp, quite possibly the most common and pathetic Pokémon in the history of the world almost seemed like a waste of time. The common person would be considered lucky to catch a glimpse of one shiny throughout their life, but she was not common. She was a Walker, coming to an expensive elite school to hone her skills, not run after a discolored disgrace of nature. The thing literally could not break out of a polystyrene prison, so what good was it? And even if she did catch it, she could probably just sell the thing to some merchant and earn more than what Nolin would ever think of giving up.
Dorms, finally. I need to scream into a pillow. she thought as the lady on stage blabbed on. Aside from the gorgeous scenery, the Academy so far had not lived up to its reputation or hype. Maybe the supposed suite-like dorms would make up for it. Dakota pulled the slip of paper out of her blazer pocket and looked over it one last time.
First Floor Room 103
At Fiona's--or whoever she was--half-joking comment, she grimaced even more. A pack of idiotic overzealous trainers at her back. She might actually have been better off in an actual horde of Tauros. At least Tauros' had some basic intelligence. As the oversized scissors snapped and cut the ribbon, it opened the floodgates and the trainers swarmed around her. The Honchkrow squawked noisily before clumsily taking off into the air with a few heavy flaps of its great black wings. I hope it shits on one of you. She smiled in spite of herself thinking of that bitch with the Growlithe getting a little white surprise in her hair. It wouldn't be the first time for her, anyways.
