As much as Velia knew she couldn't withstand it, the blue-colored Sylveon slightly wished she was a bit stronger. Maybe if she and Ceylon trained a bit more, they could beat them next time. However, the Pokemon was quite relieved that she wasn't going to have to battle Nuric. Yet, that horrible display on battling - what did the Espeon think about her now? A weak, worthless Pokemon incapable of battle? She was just one of those Pokemon who doubted herself too much and lacked the self-confidence needed.
Falling over from the immense flames, Velia lay on the ground for awhile, thinking about what else she could do. It seemed that maybe Kanna wasn't suited for being a normal Trainer. While her trainer had considered being a Contestant, the girl had been really indecisive and still hadn't picked, which means that her Pokemon had to continue to wait. Luckily, strategies used from Kanna were usually suited for either Gym/Trainer battles and Contest battles. A good thing, the Sylveon supposed. After a few more moments, the fairy got up and walked over to a shady tree, waiting. Unlike Mishi, Anceril's Blissey, she didn't know how to heal, so she was just going to stay out of the way - since she usually messed things up.
Ceylon on the other hand, wasn't quite aware of what had happened... Yet. Still where he was before, down a couple hills, the Lucario had been pounding on a tree furiously. Continuously using Swords Dance every few moves and then switching around between Close Combat, Extreme Speed, or Bullet Punch, the Pokemon wasn't even thinking about its physical health - just the fact that he "supposedly" needed to improve.
Although he didn't know Aura Sphere, he surely can control aura to make a sphere similar to the move, like he did a little after getting defeated, but it was only about half Aura Sphere's power. Either way, it was still pretty powerful. Ceylon had a sort of "empathy" link between Kanna, not really, but because they were sort of linked by aura, he immediately felt the pain she was feeling. Not that it hurt him though. The connection is more because of aura, not empathy, imposingly. If there was an empathy link, it was usually between Kanna and Becca or Anceril.
The Lucario quickly rushed back, using Extreme Speed to quicken his pace across the many hills he ran over. When he had reached there though, it seemed as if something wasn't right. He just knew it. Hey, Ceylon's not always heartless... His only exception would be Kanna.
By the time Ceylon was a few yards or so away, Kanna had started to suffocate, coughing heavily. She had a bit of trouble speaking, barely able to make out a few words. What had she been doing? Moreso, the collar that was usually located around her neck, the one with the chain that she refused to take off for some reason, had been tighter that day. Well, just say that was the problem.
However, fainting? Well, yeah, that's what happened. Totally informal right there. xD The girl had probably attempted to use aura to track Ceylon down and apologize right after the battle. One problem - Kanna wasn't strong enough to handle the immense strength yet. So... When the Lucario walked over, she had weakly said, "S-sorry..."
Anyone could tell right now that Ceylon felt he had failed his job to protect her.
What he didn't know though, was that she would be fine later on. All she needed was rest, but the only one who could reassure him about that would be Kanna. Hopefully, her best friend would be a better substitute.
