Sparring 1 [Class 1] [EVERYONE JOIN]

Both the Staraptor's and trainer's success was short lived, however as the next pokemon came out. Staraptor locked eyes with the Growlithe, feeling her strength drop the slightest bit. "Close Combat again!" Lev said, and the bird broke the stare-off, coming straight for the Growlithe with the same manner as she'd done to the Manectric. When it was done, she flapped back into the air to avoid any attack the opponent could make.

Bracing himself just as Lightning did, Shiloh grunted in pain as the Staraptor performed the same attack on him, slashing and kicking at him until he had to jump back to avoid any more, the bird flying back up into the air, where it eyed him with an intimidating glare. Breathing a bit more heavily, the Growlithe steeled his gaze and waited for his trainer's call.

Blaire groaned in frustration at another powerful Close Combat. That Staraptor was beating up on her team, but she knew that using such a powerful move was taking a toll on its defenses. This was the perfect time to strike and end this battle. "Alright, this is it, Growlithe. Outrage, now!"

Suddenly, the fiery pup was enveloped in a golden light, his eyes flaring up in the same hue as his body let off wild waves of seemingly electric light. However, it was less electric and more draconic, as the ferocious beams rampaged throughout the entire classroom, slashing against desks and walls as Shiloh glared straight through the Staraptor and sent the torrid power straight at it, slamming into the poor bird with the force of a Steelix Double-Edge. The room seemed to glow in such an array of power, and Blaire almost had to shield her eyes, though a desire to see this battle until the very end kept her watching the power of Outrage.

The Staraptor tried to fly away from the attack, but it was too large and too fast to escape. Hit full-force, the bird was knocked back, falling through the air and landing practically at Lev's feet. The trainer was still standing, but seemed almost as shaken as her fallen pokemon. "Stal... return" she said, knowing the poor Staraptor could fight no longer. It couldn't be helped, right? Her pokemon are way stronger than mine, and that Manectric was a huge issue she thought. trying to console herself for the loss. And know people knew what type to use against her. Oh well, it wasn't like they wouldn't have already figured that out, right?

Leaving her place, she walked over to her opponent, going around the arena, of course. "Good battle. But next time, I'll win" she said, in the most un-competitive way possible, holding her hand out to Blaire in an attempt for sportsmanship, something that didn't seem to be all too important these days.

Dakota watched the battle with a half-bored expression, resting her head on her hand as the two combatants exchanged blows. Yawn. What a bore-fest. It quickly became apparent that Lev was hopelessly outmatched, and watching her get dominated by Blaire was almost embarrassing. With a sigh, Dakota took up her pen again, hardly paying attention to the destructive beams.

Lev

1. Swanna - N/A. One Electric attack and it's as good as dead.
   
2. Torterra - Earthquake. Easily countered.
   
3. Staraptor - Close Combat. Don't even worry.
   Hapless loser and waste of taxpayer money.
   

Blaire

1. Manectric - Thunderbolt, Flamethrower. Exercise caution.
   
2. Growlithe - Outrage? A puppy.
   R E C K L E S S. Not an issue.
   

Mrs. Eckert clapped. "Good battles today! Tomorrow there will be two more matchups, so train and prepare." she exclaimed. Looking up at the clock, she refocused her gaze back onto the students. "Everyone can talk quietly until the bell rings." she stated, before going back to her desk and tapping at her keyboard absent-mindedly.

And there goes the battle! A smile crossed Blaire's face and she nearly jumped for joy at the victory, but she contained herself: she could celebrate in her dorm room. Still, this was an excellent battle, and her first victory on the island. Shiloh had turned around and was smiling too, in a more exhausted sort of way. "You did an amazing job, Growlithe. Return." She pulled out his Pokéball again and returned him back into the convenient capsule, allowing him time to rest and relax. Seeing Lev walking over, she met her partway and enthusiastically shook her hand, happy that her dormmate wasn't too mad at her for winning. "Yeah, I'm sure you will," she replied in agreement, not wanting to rock the boat or anything. She couldn't keep the smile off her face, though. Her first victory here! It was a tremendously ecstatic feeling.

Now that the battle - and, basically, the class - was over, she walked over to the machine that Marina and Fuzzycunt had used to heal their battle-worn Pokémon. Placing Growlithe and Manectric's Pokéballs on the machine, she watched as it came to life, lights pulsating around the spheres as the power of healing washed over them. Once it was done, sounding off to its finale, she took them back and downsized them, placing them back on her belt as she stepped back to let Lev heal her own Pokémon.
